Cold Brew Recipe
YAMA 6-8 Cup Cold Drip Tower
Ratio - 1 : 8
*80g of coarse ground coffee : 640g of coffee extracted
For Cold Brew, we are using Yama cold brew tower 6-8 cup, and Fellow Ode for grinding.
*Grind coarser than usual pour over recipe
Weigh out 80g of bean of your choice
*For this demonstration, we used Mexico Chichiquila.
The coffee ground should be the similar to the size of sea salt
*For Fellow Ode, the grind setting was at 8
Try to even out the surface of the coffee bed before proceeding
Before pouring water over the coffee, place the paper filter on top of the evenly surfaced coffee
Prepare 640 grams of iced water
*We used 500g of cold water + 140g of ice
Pour the water in the top beaker
*Make sure the valve is closed
Wet the coffee bed before starting the extraction
*This is to make sure all coffee is evenly extracted
Open the valve and set it where the every water droplets are dropping within 1 ~ 1.5 seconds
*The total extraction time will be 3-4 hours
**Once the extraction is finished, the coffee should be stored in a refrigerator to chill.
***The finished coffee will be very concentrated, so mixing it with ice & water/milk is recommended!
